There are 120 Power Stars to collect in Super Mario 64, spread across 15 courses, secret levels, and the castle itself. You only need 70 stars to reach the final Bowser battle and finish the game, but collecting all 120 unlocks a special reward.
To perform a long jump, press Z to crouch while running and then immediately press Space to jump. This launches Mario forward in a fast, low arc and is one of the most useful moves for crossing large gaps and reaching distant platforms.
You fight Bowser three separate times throughout Super Mario 64 — once in the Bowser in the Dark World course, once in Bowser in the Fire Sea, and a final climactic battle in Bowser in the Sky. Each fight is progressively harder and requires you to grab and throw Bowser by his tail into the arena's bombs to deal damage.
